An aroma or reed diffuser is a great solution for people that don’t want or can’t burn candles. It’s a long-lasting way to add fragrance to your home. Here at Canndle we offer diffusers that are extremely long-lasting and have a great scent throw. We’ll answer a few of the mos asked questions about diffusers for you:

A diffuser is available in different styles. There’s the reed diffuser, that consists of a glass bottle filled with scented oil and reeds. Or you can choose the aroma diffuser, that uses electricity to evaporate the scented oil. The reed diffuser is the one we offer at Canndle, using thin porous sticks to absorb the scented oil and spread the fragrance into the air. This provides a continuous and subtle aroma.

2. How do reed diffusers work?

Reed diffusers work through a process called capillary action. The reeds absorb the scented oil and draw it upwards, allowing the fragrance to evaporate into the air. As the oil evaporates, it releases the scent, filling the surrounding space with aroma.

3. What are the benefits of using a reed diffuser?

Reed diffusers offer several benefits, including:

The diffusers at Canndle last much longer than this, for an average time of 3-5 months, even up to 9 months when used in a small space like the toilet.

5. How often should reed diffusers be flipped?

If you like a strong scent, you can flip your reeds every week or so. This refreshes the fragrance, but if you like a more subtle scent we advise to not flip the reeds to much. Even without flipping them the diffuser smells great.

6. Can you reuse reeds from a diffuser?

While it’s possible to reuse reeds from a diffuser, they may become saturated with old fragrance oil over time, affecting their ability to absorb and release new scents effectively. For best results, it’s recommended to use fresh reeds when refilling or replacing a diffuser.

7. How do you clean and maintain reed diffusers?

To clean and maintain a reed diffuser, simply wipe down the bottle with a damp cloth to remove any dust or residue. If refilling the diffuser with a new scent, it’s best to use a new set of reeds to avoid mixing fragrances.

8. Are reed diffusers safe to use around pets and children?

Reed diffusers are generally considered safe for use around pets and children since they don’t involve an open flame or heat source. However, it’s essential to keep diffusers out of reach of pets and children to prevent accidental ingestion of the scented oil.

9. Can you refill reed diffuser bottles?

Yes, many reed diffuser bottles are designed to be refillable. Here at Canndle we unfortunately don’t offer a refill option yet. We are looking into offering this, you’ll be the first to know when we do.
