Canndle at the Castle Christmas Fair at Landgoed Beeckestijn

We know, we know. The summer hasn’t even ended yet. But for us the Christmas season starts early. Not only are we busy with our Christmas products but we are also choosing at which Christmas markets you will find us. And this year we chose the Castle Christmas Fair at Landgoed Beeckestijn (Velsen-Zuid, near Amsterdam).

When: 16 – 19 November, everyday from 10:00 to 22:00 h. except on sunday: 10:00 to 18:00 h.

Where: Landgoed Beeckestijn, Rijksweg 134, 1981LD Velsen-Zuid (the Netherlands).

Most asked questions about the Castle Christmas Fair

How can I order tickets?

Tickets are available online via the website of the Castle Christmas Fair. Tickets are also available at the door. There might be long lines though, so ordering online is the best option.

Can I pay by card on the fair?

At Canndle you can definitely pay with a debit card, we even prefer it. Most of the other stands also offer the option of paying by card, but at some smaller stands you’ll only be able to pay cash.

Do I have to pay for parking?

Yes, parking costs €10,- when you buy your parking ticket online or €12.50 when you buy a parking ticket at the fair.

I don’t have a car, can I come by public transport?

Yes! There’s a bus stop close by. Go to bus stop ‘Velsen-Zuid, Beeckestijn’. Plan your journey through 9292ov.nl

This was Landgoedfair Mariënwaerdt 2023

It’s been a little over a week since the Landgoedfair at Heerlijkheid Mariënwaerdt ended. This was our very first market that lasted more than 2 days and we didn’t really know what to expect. Luckily we were able to make some extra inventory because you guys sold some of our items out on the very first day! We happily share some snapshots of the Landgoedfair with you.

See you next year?

We really loved the people and the ambiance of the Landgoedfair but what we loved most were the lovely talks with you, our customers. We loved that a lot of you, when walking up to our table, thought our candles were soap. We loved that you discussed between yourselves which scents you loved and which you absolutely didn’t (spoiler alert: it’s different for everyone. Scent is very personal). But most of all we loved the beautiful girl that came back to us saying: I already followed you on TikTok! We can’t put into words what it means that our little brand that started at the kitchen table is now being recognized and even has some followers. We want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and we really, REALLY hope to see you all again next year!

Best selling candles

Which candles did best at the Landgoedfair? We’ll tell you which ones we couldn’t keep up with and which ones we took back home with us.

The best selling candles were (of course) the succulent candles. The mini and the big succulent just look like little pieces of art and that makes them very wanted. Although almost every single customer (and non-customer) said: ‘It’s almost to beautiful too burn!’

Also good sellers were the scented candles in concrete vessel. They always sell really well at markets, so we made sure we had more then enough of them.

The surprise of the market was the dough bowl candle. This doesn’t sell really well online but it killed it at the market.

Come see us at the landgoedfair Mariënwaerdt

From the 16th to the 20th of August you’ll find us at the landgoedfair Mariënwaerdt. This market is held for the 27th time and boy it looks promising! With unique products, demonstrations and workshops there’s something for everyone. Canndle can be found at stand LH8 at the Lingehof. Will you come say hi to us? At this fair we’ll have special market discounts and one of a kind candles so make sure you don’t miss it!

Is it free to enter?

No, you’ll have to buy a ticket on the website of the Landgoedfair. Tickets cost €12.50.

Do I have to pay for parking?

Yes, parking costs €5,- which will be spend on walking trails (Stichting Stap voor Stap).

Can I pay by card?

At the Canndle stand you can pay with your debit card or with cash. At the entrance you can also use your debit card, but it is possible there are market stalls where you can only pay cash. Please keep in mind there’s no ATM at the Landgoedfair.

Can I personalise a candle while on the Landgoedfair?

I’m so happy to say: YES YOU CAN! Normally this is not possible, but at this fair we’ll bring everything we need to personalise your candle while you wait.

Do I have to buy tickets before the fair?

It’s possible to order your tickets beforehand, but you can also buy them at the entrance.
